Friends and community members gathered Thursday night to mourn the loss of 55-year-old Larry Morgan who was stabbed to death early Thursday.
Morgan was found in the hall of an apartment building that belongs to the Siena-Francis House.
The shelter's Mike Saklar said he was shocked by the news.
“Everybody's just upset about it,” he said. “And, uh, we don't know what happened; all of the details of what happened and why it happened."
Police arrested another homeless man, 37-year-old Michael Exley. He’s been booked for Second Degree Murder and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
Police say Morgan suffered a neck wound. He was critically injured and later died at Alegent Creighton University Medical Center.
