Valley Man Sentenced For Making Methamphetamine

A 38-year-old Valley man was sentenced to six years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine.

According to United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg, Lonnie Strong was sentenced Monday to 72 months in prison by Chief United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp, for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. In addition to his prison term, Strong will serve three years of supervised release following his release from prison.

Investigators determined Strong was involved in the manufacture of methamphetamine in the Douglas County and Otoe County areas from May 2011 to January 2012. Investigators say |Strong bought approximately 95 grams of pseudoephedrine in Nebraska believed to have been used to manufacture methamphetamine in Nebraska City.

This case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol.
