Pancake Feed For Layne Meyer

November 17, 2013

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Winslow Auditorium

A Winslow, Nebraska firefighter is still on the mend after a crash, and his fellow firefighters have organized a community event to help show support and raise money.

Layne Meyer was operating a combine in Dodge County when it was hit by a train in October.

Meyer's fellow firefighters say he is still on the road to recovery at Madonna Rehabilitation hospital in Lincoln and that he is doing well.

Meyer has been a Winslow firefighter for 30 years.

A pancake feed is planned on Sunday to help raise money for the family's expenses. Donations can also be made at any of the First National Bank Northeast locations.
