The Cassgram reports according to the Nebraska Workforce Development-Department of Labor report, the November (preliminary) unemployment rate in Cass County was 3.7%.

The breakdown: Cass County Civilian Labor Force: 13,950; Number Employed: 13,433; Not Employed 517

The November rate stayed the same as both the October and September rates. The rate was at 4.4% in August and 4.9% in July.

The county unemployment was at 4.4% in November of 2011.

The November 2012 rates from neighboring counties with the change from a year earlier in [ ]: Otoe 3.4% [-0.8], Lancaster 3.0% [-0.4], Saunders 3.1% [-0.7] and Sarpy 3.5% [-0.6].

Nebraska’s preliminary unemployment rate for November is 3.7%, seasonally adjusted, down from the October rate of 3.8%. The November 2011 state unemployment rate was 4.3%.

The seasonally‐adjusted national unemployment rate in November was 7.7%, down 0.2 from October. In 2011, the November national unemployment rate was 8.7%.
