The University of Nebraska Medical Center will open its outdoor public skating rink Tuesday and it will remain open through March 1st.
The rink is located just east of 42nd Street midway between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue on the north side of the Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education building.
It will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. On Saturdays, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
The rink will be closed on Mondays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Admission, including skate rental, is $7 per person or $5 without skate rental. Cash or credit card only (no checks or debit cards).
Admission for UNMC and Clarkson College students is free with identification badge ($3 skate rental or $15 for seasonal skate rental). Cost for employees (and dependents who accompany them) of UNMC, UNMC-Physicians, the Nebraska Medical Center and Clarkson College (must present ID badge) is $5, including skates or $30 per person for a season pass.
