UNL Teaching Grants

A UNL news release says the 22 have won Robert Noyce National
Science Foundation Master Teaching Fellowships. They are funded by
a six-year, $3 million grant UNL received in September.

The fellowships go to outstanding mathematics teachers who make
a five-year commitment. They will have an opportunity to take 24
graduate hours free to strengthen their skills as leaders. The goal
of the Master Teaching Fellowship program is to increase the level
of student success in mathematics in high-need Nebraska schools.

High-need schools include those that have a large percentage of
poor students or have high teacher turnover rates.
