A University of Nebraska-Lincoln fraternity is under investigation after about 30 members marched around campus with a Confederate flag.
University employee Rebecca Carr says that she witnessed the march Monday afternoon and saw the men from Delta Tau Delta dressed in
camouflage toting the flag and singing "The Star Spangled
Banner." She called the display disgusting.
Ryan Caldwell, alumni chapter adviser, says the march was part
of an annual fundraiser for veterans that has traditionally
included a march of students in military fatigues. He says the
student who carried the flag has been reprimanded and will likely
be expelled from the fraternity.
Both the local chapter and its national affiliate are looking
into the incident.
