Two people face charges after a boat collision Friday evening at Branched Oak Lake near Lincoln.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says eight people were taken to hospitals after a motorboat collided with a drifting sailboat. Details of their injuries have not been released. Both watercrafts sustained major damage.
The commission says a 19-year-old Lincoln man who was operating the motorboat was treated at a hospital then taken to the Lancaster County jail. He's suspected of boating under the influence and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
A 19-year-old passenger in the motorboat is also suspected of being a minor in possession of alcohol.
The suspects' names have not been released.
State and local authorities continue to investigate the crash.
