Omaha police say they intend to file charges against a man as soon as he is released from the hospital following a fight Sunday morning that left one man suffering from stab wounds.
Officers were called to investigate a reported disturbance at a house near 40th and Binney streets just before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, police found two men fighting.
A witness told officers she was having an argument with her boyfriend when she called her son to come to the house to pick her up. When her son arrived, he and the boyfriend started arguing. The argument turned into a fight and the boyfriend allegedly pulled a knife, cutting the woman's son. Thirty-one-year-old Carmichael Pappan was taken to Creighton University Medical Center for treatment.
The boyfriend also required hospitalization for undisclosed injuries. His name has not been released.
