Westbound Interstate 80 was shut down for a short time Wednesday morning after two semis collided near Underwood, Iowa.
One of the drivers slowed down unexpectedly and the other truck rear-ended the first around 2 a.m. A passenger in the second semi who was asleep in the cab was thrown from the vehicle.
The passenger and second driver were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with injuries not thought to be life threatening.
