Two men are in custody following a chase and crash Saturday evening.
An Omaha police officer tried to pull a car over in the area of 36th and Pratt, but the driver sped away. The officer called for backup and started a pursuit of the vehicle.
Police say the fleeing vehicle ran a stop sign at 30th Street and plowed into an SUV. Officers tell Channel 6 News the driver continued east, but missed his turn onto 29th and ended up in an empty lot.
The driver and his passenger were arrested after being checked out by medical personnel. The driver of the SUV was not seriously injured.
