Yahoo just announced new family-friendly policies to attract more in-demand employees. Leave for new moms has doubled to 16 weeks of paid leave while a new policy for dads gives them eight weeks paid leave. There is also reimbursement for expenses related to care of a new child.
Looks like Netflix has more competition. Hulu said paying subscribers grew by a third during the first quarter to exceed four million. Hulu had three million paying customers at the end of last year. The growth comes as it begins talks with advertisers. Netflix doesn't take advertising.
