Tickets On Sale For Talent Show That Benefits Metro Homeless

A talent show that raises money for a charity to benefit a non profit that helps area homeless has now started to sell tickets to the preliminary show on August 25th.

Nebraska’s Got Talent, sponsored by Mutual of Omaha, will have a preliminary show at Burke High School August 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Over 70 contestants are scheduled to compete.

Each ticket is $5.00 and proceeds will go to Together Omaha.

"This is a great organization that has done some remarkable work in Omaha,” said James Wagner. Wagner is the founder of Performers USA and came up with the concept to recognize local talent and raise money for charity.

“We are very excited to have been selected as the show’s first non-profit” announced Together’s Interim Director Mike Hornacek.. “With today’s uncertain economy we are continuing to see an influx of people in need, last year we provided over 44,000 services to Metro residents!”

Tickets will be available at all Omaha Hy-Vee Supermarkets, Certified Transmission locations and Rave Salons, or at nebraskasgottalent.com.

Acts will include magicians, animal acts, dancers, singers, bands, musicians of all ages!

As with last year’s show there will be prizes for the final three and they will perform at this year’s “Fall Home and Garden Expo” held at the Century Link Center on Oct 19-21.

The winner will also perform at the Strictly Business Magazine annual best dressed contest and will appear on “It’s The Beat” radio show. There are cash prizes for the winners and audience giveaways!
