Three Girls Victims Of Enticement

Thirty-four-year-old Michael D. Winchel of Plattsmouth was sentenced to not less than two years and not more than four years on two convictions of criminal child enticement, 1st offense, Class IIIA Felonies.

Cass County District Court Judge Randall Rehmeier handed down the same sentence on each count but agreed with a plea agreement recommendation that both sentences be served concurrently in the Nebraska Department of Corrections.

In the plea agreement, three counts of attempted first degree sexual assault of a child, Class II Felonies, were dismissed as was a misdemeanor count of procuring alcohol for a minor.

The Cassgram records show Winchel was arrested May 14th after he made contact with three juvenile females in a business parking lot, made sexually explicit comments and advances, physically interfered with one of the girl’s attempt to exit his vehicle, and provided alcohol for one of the girls. The girls were 13, 14 and 15 years old at the time. The girls went home and told their parents what had happened, Plattsmouth Police were called and Winchel was arrested.

Winchel remained in jail since his arrest. Bail had been $500,000.
