Three Arrested in Lincoln Murder

Lincoln police have named the three suspects under arrest for a weekend shooting death.  Officers responded to a report of a “shooting in progress” call at 2:47am Sunday.  They found the victim, 19-year old Dwayne Greer, shot multiple times.  Greer was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Under arrest are 20-year old Jermaine Jackman, 19-year old Davaughn Johnson, and 18 year old Deanthony Love. Witnesses tell police there was a confrontation inside the house at 231 S. 53rd Street which then continued outside. During the argument, witnesses say two men took turns firing one gun at Greer. Jackman and Johnson have been identified as the gunmen. They were booked for first degree murder.

Police say the two fled the scene in a car which was found at 8:40am parked on the 1100 block of B Street. The two men and Love were located in an apartment at 1133 B Street. A gun believed to be used in the murder was found during a search of the apartment.

Love was jailed for aiding and abetting first degree murder.
