A Bellevue family escaped unscathed from a three-vehicle accident near Bellevue East High School Thursday afternoon.
According to those involved, the driver of a pickup started the chain-reaction that sent an SUV into a sedan at Harvell and Freeman. "It was my first accident too and it was just traumatic to look back at my kids and thankfully they're all okay," said Alex Zoucha. The children, ages 2 and 1 month, were not hurt.
Police have not determined who was at fault and no citations were written at the scene.
The Zouchas were on their way to pay the taxes on their new car and get license plates.
