Three people were charged with drug and weapons possession during a shoplifting investigation.
According to Omaha police reports, officers responded to a shoplifting call at the Wal-Mart on South 72nd St around 1:30 Sunday morning.
Officers learned that the occupants of a white Honda Civic had stolen a knife, and then fled the area.
The suspect vehicle was located at Interstate-80 and 72nd Street. Along with the knife, the suspects were found to be in possession of a firearm, brass knuckles and methamphetamine.
There were four people inside the car. All were taken in for questioning but only three were charged.
Twenty-eight-year-old Lester Kent was booked for Shoplifting and Possession of Meth, 31-year-old Laura Kendrick was booked for Possession of Meth and 24-year-old Steven Raumaker was charged with Possession of a Gun by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Weapon by a Prohibited Person (brass knuckles) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
