Thousands of children will receive the gift of reading this holiday season. All thanks to an enormous donation.

Close to 20,000 books were donated to Omaha's Lydia House, which is a shelter for women and families on the Open Door Mission's campus.
Mission staff say reading and education are keys to ending homelessness.
Most of the books will be given as Christmas gifts to underprivileged kids, while the others will be placed in the mission's library.
The books are a donation through a partnership between the Midwest International Trade Association and the MainFreight-USA book program.
