It could be ladies night out at your house tonight. Lady beetles are moving in from the fields to find a warm place to settle in.
Mary Anna Anderson with University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Service said the lady beetles won’t eat your plants. They live on a tiny insect.
Most of the time they will invade a wall but you will find them on window seals when the sun comes out.
Anderson said basically lady beetles are harmless, “They’ll take a little nip but they’re not trying to feed on you. They don’t carry any diseases.”
Anderson said technically the lady bug is a beetle.
