A June trial date has been set for a Creighton woman accused of stealing from the city of Plainview in northeast Nebraska.
Forty-four-year-old Carolyn Conner has pleaded not guilty to a theft charge. Her trial is scheduled to begin June 17.
Conner was arrested in December following an investigation that took about two years to complete. Authorities say audits show nearly $50,000 is missing from city accounts in Plainview.
Court records say Conner started working for the city in June 2008 and left in March 2010. The records say discrepancies were found in the financial records of transfer station funds and utility deposits.
