Hundreds of families walked out of Catholic Charities in South Omaha Tuesday with a Thanksgiving meal.
Volunteers put together more than 300 dinner baskets at the Juan Diego Center. Turkey teamed-up with fruits and vegetables, desserts and tortillas - dished out with a giving heart.
Ana Barrios said, “I am from a country where we don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I came from El Salvador. It's amazing in this country that we give thanks. It's a beautiful holiday and we appreciate the fact that we can help people."
Ana has been working with this program for the past 12-years. One hundred volunteers helped make this possible.
