In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday, thousands of children in the metro will be celebrating this week.
One sure fire way to get children excited about reading -- let them wear crazy hats to school.
At Patriot Elementary in Papillion, we saw everything from ball-caps to weird furry ones.
It fits perfectly into a Dr. Seuss classic: "The Cat in the Hat."
"I've seen like corn heads and cheese heads and then there’s a guy in my class that has a goofy hat on it," said 5th grader Campbell Rogers. "It's pretty cool."
