The man authorities say slammed a boat into a dock on Clear Lake, Iowa last month injuring 10 people pleaded guilty to boating while intoxicated and was sentenced Tuesday to two days in jail and fined $1,000.

Twenty-nine-year-old William Nicholas of Clear Lake was approved to attend a two-day weekend program instead of serving the two days in jail. He also must complete a substance abuse evaluation.

Four people were hospitalized and six others were injured in the August 3rd accident.
