A Lincoln teenager trying to withdraw cash from an ATM found herself face to face with an armed robber early Saturday morning.
It happened near 40th and Old Cheney around 1:30 a.m. after she finished a babysitting job. The teen said she was sitting in her car when a masked man came up with a gun and forced his way in.
"He pushes me forward and climbs through the window and gets into the passenger seat. In the back of my head all I could think was where am I going to get shot, what is the pain going to feel like because I was preparing myself for the worst.”
A passerby, seeing something was wrong, called 911. Mikayla, who didn’t want her last name disclosed, threw open the door and ran screaming he “has a gun." Police arrived and took the gunman into custody.
