The Omaha-based online brokerage is scheduled to release its
report Tuesday morning before the markets open.
The market will be looking for clues in Ameritrade's trading
numbers about how engaged investors are this summer.
Ameritrade generates revenue from commissions it charges investors on trades and from asset-based fees and interest it gets on the assets it holds.
The analysts surveyed by Factset expect Ameritrade to report
quarterly earnings per share of 29 cents on $685 million revenue.
Last year, Ameritrade generated $179.4 million net income, or 30
cents per share, during the third quarter on revenue of $692
