John Roode is getting constant calls from an unfamiliar number.
Roode says, "It came up Adrian Williams so it was a personal name. It had an area code that I didn't recognize."
John ignored the calls the first couple of times, but they kept coming. He finally answered-only to be asked...
"Would you be interested in lowering your interest rates, and right away I said no, I'm not buying this and hung up." said Roode.
But the calls didn't stop after he told them to quit calling. He asked the caller if they didn't understand what he said the first time. He wasn't interested.
Roode says, "She said to me, did you not understand what I said, back to me!"
We tracked down this phone number, (323) 846-0428 --coming from a Los Angeles area code.
We found other complaints on 800notes.com. Adrian Williams is the name that pops up on their Caller ID, and the caller even goes so far to ask for their credit card information.
John didn't get that far with them, but he did report it to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Roode says, "Whether they follow-up on it or not, I don't know but I thought what the heck, I'm trying."
We tried calling this number. It has now been disconnected.
