Two suspects were arrested after they attempted to run from law enforcement.
The Cassgram reports, just after 12:30pm Monday, a Cass County sheriff’s deputy tried to get the driver of a 2006 Chevy Cobalt to pull over for speeding on Highway 50. It became a pursuit when the driver refused to stop. The pursuit went eastbound on Church Road from Highway 50. A few minutes later there was a foot chase at the intersection of 144th and Church.
Deputies caught one individual, then several minutes later, the other suspect was reported in custody.
Arrested and booked on possession of a stolen vehicle were Michael Schaffer, age 51, and Mark Reisdorff, age 45, both of Omaha. Reports are being forwarded to the county’s attorney’s office and both will likely face other charges in connection with the pursuit and foot chase.
