Two burglary suspects were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a witness saw them carrying a flat-screen television down an alley. The boys are ages 12 and 13.

It happened near 25th and Hartman around 1 p.m. Police found the pair in the alley after a neighbor saw them carrying a big screen TV.

When officers arrived, they arrested the two youngsters but the TV wasn't with them. Officers eventually found it stashed in a nearby garage.

The owner of the television, Donavon Ausdemore, said he was the victim two days in a row. Thieves had broken out his pickup truck window and stole a snowblower from his shed the day before.

Reporter: "What do you make of that? They should be in school."

Donavon Ausdemore: "Lazy - they're punk kids that don't want to work. The parents should be in charge of them. They should be charged too."

The window on his front door had been shattered.

Neighbors near 25th and Hartman Avenue have been on high alert recently because youngsters have been knocking on doors during the daytime. If someone answers, it seems they make up a story about why they knocked. If you don't answer, neighbors say, that is when they strike.

“That's weird and stashing it," said neighbor Lawanda Mays when she heard two boys were caught in the alley with a TV. "That's how you tell they were so young."

As for Donavon Ausdemore, he has his flat-screen back -- watching 'Bonanza.'

The 12-and-13-year old boys were booked into the Douglas County Youth Center for burglary.
