After 1 a.m. Sunday morning Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of strangers knocking on doors near 180th and Harney just south of Dodge in West Omaha.
A man and woman were evasive when asked for identification and appeared under the influence of soemthing.
Jason C. Davis attempted to leave and violently resisted the deputies. A taser had no affect. A deputy may have suffered a broken hand trying to cuff Davis. Davis was finally subdued but continued to be combative on the way to jail forcing a deputy to use pepper spray.
Davis was booked for felony assault on an officer, possession of cocaine and resisting arrest. No word on charges for the woman with him.
