Suspect In Credit Card Case Surrenders

The man sought for allegedly using a stolen credit card in Bellevue has surrendered to police. Michael Linkous, of Bellevue, turned himself in on Thursday morning.

Investigators say someone had charged $2,100 in purchases on the stolen card. The person the card belongs to, an 87-year-old, was not aware anything was amiss until a statement turned up with all of the charges.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department tells Channel Six News that it appears Linkous acquired the card while he was doing some water damage repair work in the victim's home.

Authorities released surveillance pictures of their suspect on Wednesday. Linkous surrendered within 24 hours.

According to the sheriff's office, all of the fraudulent charges were made in Bellevue at various grocery stores and gas stations.
