Teen Arrested For Craigslist Meet Up Robbery

An 18-year-old is facing some serious charges after he allegedly responded to a Craigslist ad and robbed the sellers at gunpoint when they met up in person.

On Thursday, November 21st, the two victims had arranged a meet up with a potential buyer of an iPad mini they were selling at the Cherry Hills apartment complex.

When they pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex, they told police that a man approached their vehicle with a gun in his hand, demanding they hand over their cell phones and the iPad mini. The thief took the phones and ran across the street to an SUV waiting for him and took off.

In October, police first made contact with the robbery suspect, Latjor Gony when they noticed he was parked on the wrong side of the street. He was cited.

Gony is now facing robbery and weapons charges in this incident.
