Sometimes the traditional high school setting doesn't work out for teenagers, but there are alternatives so students can get a meaningful education. Thursday, they had a real world lesson.

The students at "IDEAL School" In Papillion-La Vista spent Halloween helping the homeless. A number of students handed out sandwiches and candy, then later played bingo with 150 people at the day shelter at the Siena Francis House.

Matthew Rodriguez said, "It's a good team effort and a way to help out the community. And really just a way to give back and work as a team."

The students brought in baked goods to donate as well.
