"Stroller Tours" Offer Parents New Way To See Joslyn

A new program for parents with little ones in tow is now being offered at Omaha's Joslyn Art Museum. "Stroller Tours" are guided tours designed for moms, dads and caregivers to look at and talk about art with other adults while being mindful of young ones.

The first Stroller Tour event was held Wednesday, but will continue free with regular museum admission. Space is limited so reservations are requested in advance. Future Stroller Tour dates are February 20th, March 20th, April 24th, May 22nd, June 19th, July 24th, August 21st, September 25th, October 23rd, November 20th and December 18th.

Ashley Stevens of Carter Lake brought her daughter to get a better understanding of the work of illustrators like N.C. Wyeth. "I'm hoping that she takes an interest in some cultural things. We read a lot of books and I want her to take an interest in the art and the illustrations and also to meet new people, new friends.”
