A second teenage inmate has been charged in the strangulation of a Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska jail guard.

County Attorney Doug Warner said in a news release Wednesday that 16-year-old Guy Eagle Elk of Lisco, Nebraska is charged as an adult with aiding and abetting the assault. Warner did not specify what actions by the teen prompted the charge.

Dylan Cardeilhac

Fifteen-year-old Dylan Cardeilhac has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 24-year-old Amanda Baker, who died last Sunday after being declared brain dead by doctors. The attack took place just after 2 a.m. last Friday. Security video shows Cardeilhac talked Baker into checking something on his cell floor. He then allegedly pounced on Baker from behind and strangled her after she fell to the floor.

Cardeilhac, of Torrington, Wyoming, had been in the detention center since December awaiting trial on a charge of robbing a Mitchell, Nebraska convenience store.
