Storm Snapped Limbs, Starts Small Fire

The storm that rolled through the Omaha metro Friday night delayed the fireworks at the College World Series and it also snapped tree limbs across the area.

The limb that caused the most concern was hanging from a power line at 48th and C Streets. The limb caused the line to arc and it sparked a small fire in the tree.

Police and fire crews blocked off the area and called for an OPPD lineman to fix the problem.

Another limb came down in the area of 50th and Pine. There appeared to be no damage caused by the falling branch but the homeowner will have a little work to do Saturday morning.
