It's a mad rush at the Nebraska Crossing outlets, with hundreds working to complete all the finishing touches before the mall opens Friday.
Outside crews are finishing landscaping, construction, and unloading shipments. Inside, store employees are unpacking, folding, and organizing.
Some stores like Chico's got their shipment earlier and are almost ready to go, but for others like Dress Barn, they're thankful there are still some days left. They just got their shipment at 6 a.m. Monday.
"As you can see we are all unpacked and getting our shelves up and our merchandise up," said Store Leader Vicky Foot. They have some areas set up, but they're working hard to get everything done.
All around the mall you can feel the excitement in the air and it's not just employees looking forward to the big day, so are shoppers. With stores like Gap, Ann Taylor, and Levi's, there's a big shopping selection.
The stores will be open just in time for the busiest shopping season of the year, right before the holidays.
"A lot of people that I talked to, friends and family are just super excited for the stores to open up so they can come out and shop and check everything out," said Amanda Thomas.
The stores will open Friday at 10 a.m. Thousands are expected to pack into the stores. Deputies with the Sheriff's Office will be there to help with parking and crowd control.
