A driver was injured Sunday morning in a high-speed, rollover crash right in front of a Nebraska State Patrol trooper.
The trooper was parked watching traffic at 40th and Cornhusker in Bellevue around 1 a.m. when a car went by going an estimated 85 mph.
As the trooper pulled out onto the road, the car clipped a streetlight and rolled over into a ditch. The 23-year-old driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition and is expected to survive.
The State Patrol suspects the injured motorist was racing with another vehicle.
