It may be spring, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. Channel 6 News talked with people out dealing with the snow Sunday and many of them are asking, when will winter end?

Rhaa Philip was busy clearing snow off her car, something she was hoping she wouldn’t have to do anymore because after all it is spring. “I thought it was over, but it is what it is, it’s Nebraska." She’s hoping this is the last snow fall of the season. “I am ready for the warm weather so I can start biking and stuff.”

Just down the street the snow also meant work for 13-year-old William Scheopner, but he wasn’t complaining. “I think it’s pretty awesome." The reason he loves it so much is he shovels his neighbor’s driveway for cash. “I like the snow because I can play in it and then I get money for it.” The snow wasn’t tough for him to shovel with only an inch or so sticking to the ground.

At Omaha's Memorial Park, the conditions didn’t stop David Henry and David Peters from training. “We are trying to do our long run in spite of the snow and ice,” said Henry. “This isn’t that bad," said Peters. "The temperatures and wind aren’t too bad."

Both men said they’ve had enough. They’re hoping this winter wonderland will soon turn into a blooming spring with warmer temperatures. “I'm looking forward to the 50 degrees at the end of the week,” said Peters. A sentiment most people in the metro seem to share.
