Speaker Flood Drops Out Of Governor's Race
State Sen. Mike Flood announced Thursday he is dropping out of Nebraska's gubernatorial race.
Flood, also the speaker of the Nebraska Legislature, made the announcement via Twitter, saying he's withdrawing from the race because his wife Mandi has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Flood said he is spending his time taking care of her and their children.
