It was a special moment at the Bellevue West football game Friday night.
Javon Gasper had not seen his mother for the last 10 months.
She had been deployed to Afghanistan.
Sgt. Javelle Crowder came home to surprise him at his football game tonight at Bellevue West.
She dressed up as a referee and walked onto the field.
An announcement was made that she was surprising her son, but her costume fooled Gasper a little too well. It took some time before he finally recognized her.
"It's very special. I try to surprise him every time I come home, and this being his senior year, I wanted to do something really good for him," she said.
Crowder says she'll be home with her son for at least nine months.
She just came back from her third deployment.
