It will be a quiet Wednesday evening with slowly falling temperatures under mostly clear skies.
Although it will be cool with temperatures in the 30s it will be much more tolerable than the previous couple of nights.
Enjoy it while you can as conditions will start to unravel on Thursday. A wintry mix is possible in the morning north of the metro mainly near Sioux Falls and points north and east.
By Friday, another storm system marches in bringing the possibility of measurable snow. Current forecast models are pointing to light accumulations mainly running from 1" to 3" around the metro.
The last time Omaha received an inch of snow was back on January 1st this year.
