Patients may benefit from sleeping with a C-PAP machine, even if they only have a mild case of obstructive Sleep Apnea.
C-PAP or Continuous Positive Airway Pressure during sleep is commonly used to treat severe Sleep Apnea.
However, in a study of over 200 patients, researchers found C-PAP was effective in treating mild to moderate Apnea as well.
Patients using C-PAP treatment reported less daytime sleepiness, fewer mood disturbances and an improved quality of life.
