Tammy Schuck has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for her role in a prostitution case linked to some Omaha spas.
That sentenced was handed down Wednesday after two days of courtroom insight into the operation of those facilities. Federal prosecutors had asked for a sentence of 48 months.
In court on Tuesday, questions were raised about whether women working at the spa, answering to Shuck, could in fact be considered victims. The judge found that two of them appeared to have been coerced but the rest were just in it for the money.
Randy Knox, the suspected ringleader of the spas-as-prostitution-fronts, got a year in federal prison and a fine.
