There may be a victim but still no suspects from overnight reports of shots fired in Midtown.
The Omaha Police Department responded to a 911 call of shots fired near 44th & Douglas Tuesday morning. The caller said there were several people leaving the scene.
When they arrived, they saw a significant amount of blood on the ground. They also found a bb or pellet gun laying in the street along with a cell phone nearby.
About two hours later, a person walked into the University of Nebraska Medical Center and reported a gunshot wound. Police have not said the two incidents are connected.
No suspect information is available at this time.
