Shooting Suspect Identified

Omaha police have been able to piece together information to identify a shooting suspect. The victim did not help much when he was shot back on March 29. At the time, police said he was being uncooperative.

The victim, 24-year-old Marcquece Pettis III suffered non-life threatening wounds. He was shot in the area 24th & Ames about 11 p.m. that night.

Police were able to gather some information to indicate there may have been three people at the scene. On Tuesday, they identified 21-year-old Lawandell Hernandez as a suspect. He is described as being 5’7” and 145 pounds. His picture is attached to this story. A warrant has been issued for second degree felony assault.
