A Lincoln man is in jail, accused of cutting his girlfriend and refusing to allow her to get medical help. The woman tells Lancaster County Sheriff’s investigators that she was sleeping on her couch Friday evening. Her boyfriend of two years, 49-year-old Floyd Morrison, came home about 6:30 p.m. She says he held her down and cut her right jaw with a knife.
She says he refused to let her go, stating he wanted to watch her “bleed out.” Fearing for her life, the situation did not change until 12:20 a.m. Saturday when the woman was able to get herself to a hospital. Her wound required six stitches.
The sheriff’s department was able to locate and arrest Morrison, who offered no statement. He was booked for first degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, and making terroristic threats.
