Fifty-one-year-old Anthony Sowell was convicted Friday of 11 counts of aggravated murder.

Sowell had pleaded not guilty to killing the women and now faces the death penalty.

The bodies were found after police went to arrest Sowell in October 2009 on a sexual assault allegation.

The jury deliberated for just over 15 hours before announcing the verdicts. As soon as the first guilty count was read, Sowell turned around and was handcuffed by a court deputy.
