A Missouri woman faces nearly two years behind bars. Jessica Alamina, 27, was sentenced Wednesday for transporting a young woman around Omaha, helping her engage in prostitution.
US District Judge Joseph Bataillon sentenced Alamina to 21 months imprisonment and 3 years of supervised release.
She will also hand over $580, several cell phones, a camera and computer equipment.
Investigators say Alamina drove a teenager from Missouri to Omaha in the summer of 2012. The US Attorney's office says one purpose of the trip was for the 18-year-old woman to engage in prostitution.
Alamina posted ads for the young woman on the "escorts" section of an online service.
The unnamed woman engaged in prostitution and gave some of the money she made to Alamina.
