A crash involving a van and two semi trucks sent fuel spilling across Dodge Street early Thursday morning. Omaha police say the cleanup will take hours.
Police and paramedics were called to 30th & Dodge around 6:15 am.
Douglas County Dispatch tells Channel Six two people were taken from the scene with serious injuries. Neither person's condition is considered life-threatening.
The accident ruptured a semi tank carrying about 50 gallons of fuel. An unknown amount of it escaped over the roadway.
Responders blocked the gutters and laid down ash to absorb the fuel.
At this point, it's not clear what caused the crash.
