Security System Pitch Raises Alarm

Jacci Zach said a door to door salesman from Pinnacle Security of Utah approached her husband with alarming news. The security company they had been using was taken over by pinnacle. The Zach’s discovered that’s not true.

Wayne Schoening of American Guardian Security, which represents the Zach’s alarm system Monitronics said, “That’s a blatant lie.” He said Pinnacle Security is attempting to fool customers with other security systems to change over. Jacci said she stopped installation after her security company called back with new it had not been taken over by pinnacle.

The salesman David Fencl told Six On Your Side he didn’t tell the Zach’s Pinnacle had taken over their security system and they needed a new panel. The Zach’s said that he did. Fencl claims he sometimes speaks too fast and the Zach’s misunderstood.

But Jacci and her husband said they heard exactly what the salesman said. Jacci said, ‘The salesman was all over himself trying to apologize and reassure us he wasn’t trying to pull any funny business. But we caught him in a lie.”

The salesman told Six On Your Side he wasn’t deceiving anyone.

Pinnacle Security Systems of Utah have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, including 300 complaints about sales issues.

A phone call left with the corporate office in Orem, Utah has not been returned.
